WHAT WE DO AND WHO WE ARE
At Yamaha Marine Precision Propellers, we work as a team to manufacturer boat propellers using an investment casting process. We make high quality products while supporting our teams and local communities by providing great careers in a safe, respectful, and innovative environment. PURPOSE The primary role of the wax operator is to build a wax pattern, forming the mold cavity where molten metal will be poured. This assembly, created by joining multiple wax patterns or operating a machine to build a one-piece pattern replicates the desired part's design and ensures accurate replication of intricate details in the final metal casting. Starting $17.50 per hour with potential for growth based on experience. Attendance incentives are available up to $160 per two-week period. This position operates on second shift working 2PM - 10:30PM Monday - Friday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assemble wax patterns according to technical instructions, ensuring correct orientation and spacing Inspect wax patterns and assembled waxes for defects Visually inspect patterns and assembled waxes for defects Update and complete daily paperwork related to production and quality information Verify the results of assembly by inspecting your own work Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations Assist with other tasks as needed, such as using wax extruding and base making injection machines Detect faulty operations, defective materials, and report any unusual conditions to leaders Ability to work in a team environment, as well as, individually
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma/ High School Equivalency Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Basic math, language, and reasoning ability Attention to detail Ability to read gauges pertaining to temperature and pressure Effective verbal and written communication Ability to use basic hand tools Ability to read and comprehend work instructions
