The Opportunity As a Roll Tender , you will support sheeter and pressroom operations by pulling, staging, and setting up rolls of paper to ensure continuous and efficient production. This role is critical to material flow, machine readiness, and safe operation within the printing and sheeting departments. You will assist with equipment operation, material handling, and general production support while working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. How You Will Impact Smurfit WestRock Pull and stage paper rolls for the sheeter according to production needs. Set up rolls of paper to ensure proper machine readiness. Operate the sheeter when the lead operator is absent. Assist on the production floor as needed to support workflow. Unload inbound trucks safely and efficiently. Assist with maintaining sheeter equipment. Operate the aerator when required. Deliver loads to presses in a timely and organized manner. Follow all safety procedures and support a clean, organized work environment. Perform other duties as assigned to support production operations. What You Need to Succeed High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of six months of printing or manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to pass a basic reading test. Ability to pass color vision and color‑hue tests. Mechanical aptitude demonstrated through prior work experience or ability to pass a mechanical test. Experience operating a forklift and clamp truck. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet production demands. Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
