Production Associate-$18.50- Hiring ASAP! Job Description The Production Associate operates and monitors manufacturing equipment, supports material handling, and helps maintain consistent product quality in a collaborative, fast-paced production environment. This role works closely with team members to keep machines running efficiently, ensure safety and cleanliness, and support smooth production flow. Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and maintain production machinery to ensure efficient and safe operation. Load raw materials into the production line according to established procedures. Continuously monitor machines and visually inspect materials as they are being processed to ensure quality standards are met. Identify and report any equipment or production issues to the team lead promptly. Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain optimal performance and product quality. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with workplace standards. Work closely with other team members to meet production goals and uphold quality expectations. Support basic mechanical assembly and banding tasks as needed to keep production moving. Assist with packaging finished products and preparing them for shipment. Use forklifts or other material handling equipment, if trained, to move materials and products safely. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while operating machinery and handling materials. Essential Skills Experience operating or monitoring production or manufacturing machinery. Ability to load machines and handle raw materials safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail for visual inspection of materials and products. Mechanically inclined with the ability to understand basic mechanical functions and make simple machine adjustments. Ability to perform basic mechanical assembly tasks in a production environment. Experience with packaging and banding processes in a manufacturing or warehouse setting. Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment. Willingness and ability to maintain a clean and organized work area. Capability to follow instructions and communicate issues clearly to a team lead. Ability to wear and use required safety footwear such as steel toe or composite toe shoes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift experience is a plus. Clamp truck experience is a plus. Quality inspection experience is a plus. Prior experience in production, manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment is beneficial. Mechanical aptitude and interest in working with machinery are advantageous. Why Work Here? Appropriate safety footwear, such as steel toe or composite toe shoes, is required before starting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jeffersonville, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
