Job Description

BESTAFF has production openings! 2nd shift $18.50/hr As a Corrugator Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring the corrugator machine to produce corrugated board efficiently and effectively. You will ensure that the corrugator runs smoothly, make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will be crucial in producing corrugated board that meets our high standards of quality and consistency. II .
Specific Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate the corrugator machine according to production specifications and safety guidelines. Monitor machine operations, including feeding rolls of linerboard and medium into the corrugator, applying adhesive, and corrugating the board. Conduct quality inspections of corrugated board, checking for defects such as wrinkles, delamination, and uneven corrugations. Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to correct defects and ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer requirements. Perform routine maintenance tasks on the corrugator machine, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and mechanical issues, diagnosing problems and implementing solutions to minimize downtime. Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance and quality control, to address production issues and ensure smooth workflow. Maintain accurate production records and documentation, including production counts, machine settings, and quality inspections. Follow safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
