Job Summary The Administrative Clerk will serve as clerical and kitchen support for dining operations. This position will oversee daily office functions and provide support to the dining administration team. Oversee the dining office area, which is a student-centered environment and prioritize responsibilities while continuing to provide the highest level of customer service. Enter and update orders, schedules, mail distribution, office inventory, printing, and tracking meal history. Coordinate orientation and paperwork for new hires. As kitchen support, you may be asked to; perform a variety of light food service responsibilities. Tasks may include food preparation and maintaining a clean organized work environment. Maintain a positive attitude with a strong customer service focus.What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or GED Will also accept an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years general office/clerical experience. Competencies for this position are work standards and productivity, communication, interpersonal and intercultural relations, decision-making, and dependability. Strong attention to detail and stress tolerance. Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets. Basic math skills, filing, editing, proof reading, database management and office procedures. Ability to work effectively with individuals from different viewpoints and backgrounds. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite, including Publisher. Lift and carry 25 to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 60 lbs. occasionally. Ability to obtain ServSafe Certification.What is helpful:
Knowledge of food preparation Competencies may include financial, coaching, delegation, planning, and food prep. University Residences or Dining Court experience helpful.Additional Information:
