Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $17.00 - $17.25 / hour• What you'll be doing as a

Knife Sharpener:

Working at a knife exchange warehouse. claening sanitizing and sharpening knives to be packaged and shipped Sharpen, grind, and hone industrial knives and blades to precise specifications Inspect blades for wear, damage, and defects to ensure quality and safety standards Set up and operate sharpening equipment, including grinders and honing tools Maintain consistent blade angles and finishes based on production requirements Clean, store, and organize tools and equipment properly Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements when handling sharp tools and machinery Track and document sharpening activity as needed Available shifts: Shift Timings - 1st Shift (Day) ,2nd Shift (Evening) Job requirements: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady Must be able to stand for 8 plus hours Constant bending twisting and lifting High school diploma or GED preferred; prior manufacturing or blade sharpening experience a plus Basic math and measurement skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions and specifications Strong attention to detail, consistency, and safety awareness Good time management, teamwork, communication, and mechanical aptitude Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment with heat, humidity, noise, and exposure to oils or metal particles Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Background check and drug screening required Ready to take control of the way you work?
