Job Description
Production Associates play a key role in our production line, ensuring that products are processed and packaged safely, efficiently and meet quality standards. We are looking for highly motivated individuals that are capable of working independently or in small teams and are mechanically inclined to operate and troubleshoot equipment used in our food production area. Other additional responsibilities will include packing and shipping products and food ingredients to sorting and restocking our inventory. Production Associates are expected to work in a timely and precise manner and adhere to strict, but reasonable safety, quality, and production standards. An attention to detail and ability to follow procedures will help maintain smooth operations and uphold our commitment to product excellence. In addition to our home-based retail customers, we also sell to over 8,000 commercial breweries and wineries. We have completed our process of consolidating our East and West Coast Distribution Centers into a NEW facility in New Century, Kansas.Key Responsibilities:
Production Line Operations:
Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment as needed to minimize downtime. Assist in setting up and configuring machines for production runs, including loading materials and ensuring proper alignment.Quality Control:
Conduct regular inspections of products during and after production to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. Record and report any defects or issues to the Production Supervisor for immediate resolution. Follow quality control procedures and document inspection results as required.Assembly and Packaging:
Assemble, package, and label products according to specifications and production requirements. Ensure proper handling and storage of products to prevent damage and ensure product integrity. Maintain accurate records of production counts, materials used, and any discrepancies.Workplace Safety:
Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and report any safety hazards or concerns to management. Participate in safety training and meetings to stay updated on best practices.Team Collaboration:
Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines. Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate tasks and resolve issues promptly. Contribute to a positive and productive team environment by being proactive and supportive.Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest enhancements to increase efficiency and product quality. Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in manufacturing or production is a plus. Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required. Basic understanding of production processes, machinery, and quality control. Ability to follow detailed instructions and work with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Good manual dexterity and physical stamina to handle tasks such as lifting, standing for long periods, and operating machinery. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Must be able to speak, read and understandEnglish Physical Requirements:
Must be able to consistently lift, open and move inventory weighing 55+ lbs.; must be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, reach, and stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours with or without reasonable accommodation; must be physically capable of working in conditions normally associated with a merchandise warehouse or distribution center (such as, but not limited to, warm and cold temperatures, some janitorial work, etc.).Job Type:
