Design & Production Specialist OP Awards Overland Park, KS Job Details Part-time | Full-time $22 - $25 an hour 4 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Computer operation Customer communication Packing Computer literacy Attention to detail Packaging Layout design Full Job Description Design & Production Specialist We are a customer-focused trophy, awards, personalization, and custom products shop looking for a Design & Production Specialist to join our team. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys both creative design work and hands-on production. You'll help customers bring ideas to life through personalized awards, gifts, signage, recognition products[OA1] , promotional items, and custom one-of-a-kind [OA2] pieces. Our shop uses a variety of equipment and processes, including engraving[OA3] , UV printing[OA4] , laser work[OA5] , sublimation, and other customization methods. Experience with these tools is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person. What You'll Do Create and prepare artwork for customer orders Communicate with customers in a friendly and professional manner[OA6] Set up designs, layouts, proofs, and production files Produce customized products using shop equipment and materials Check orders for accuracy, quality, spelling, dates, names, and details Help customers choose products and design options that fit their needs Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production area Work with the team to complete orders on time Assist with inventory, packaging, and general shop tasks as needed What We're Looking For Strong attention to detail A positive attitude and willingness to learn Good communication and customer service skills Basic computer skills Ability to follow instructions and production procedures Pride in producing high-quality work Dependability and good time management Comfort working with your hands and learning equipment Design software experience is a plus, but not required Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, working with customers, and creating products people are proud to give and receive. You should be comfortable asking questions, checking details carefully, and taking ownership of your work. Experience That Is Helpful Experience in any of the following areas is a plus: Graphic design or layout Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Canva, or similar design software Engraving, UV printing, laser operation, sublimation, or signage[OA7] Awards, trophies, promotional products, or custom gifts Retail, customer service, or production work Training will be provided for the right person.
