Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that all fabricated parts meet strict quality standards while adhering to safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality manufacturing processes in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your technical skills and mechanical knowledge to produce exceptional products. Duties Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring proper tooling and calibration for each job. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine bending angles, dimensions, and tolerances. Program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) systems for automated bending operations, optimizing machine performance. Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards are met. Perform routine maintenance on press brake equipment, including tool changes, lubrication, and troubleshooting mechanical issues. Conduct quality inspections of finished parts through visual checks and measurement tools, documenting results accurately. Collaborate with fabrication teams on assembly processes involving sheet metal components and tooling adjustments. Operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts or cranes for material handling when necessary. Follow safety guidelines diligently, including proper use of hand tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures. Experience Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Familiarity with CNC programming and laser cutting technology is highly desirable. Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of tooling setups, sheet metal fabrication, and machining processes such as CNC milling or lathe work. Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Experience with quality inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to bending angles and dimensions. Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding, crane operation, forklift handling, and electrical discharge machining (EDM). Prior experience in manufacturing environments emphasizing precision machining, stamping presses, plasma cutting or similar processes is a plus. $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
