Position Summary:
The Kitting Specialist I is responsible for preparing and shipping trim and fabric items to contractors based on Master Production orders. This role ensures accuracy in kitting operations, supports contractor fulfillment, and maintains inventory integrity. The position requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
In this role you will be required to… Prepare and ship trim/fabric items to contractors according to weekly Master Production orders. Use computer systems, handheld scan guns, and reports to manage kitting tasks. Print labels and tickets for contractor shipments. Ensure accuracy and completeness of kitted items before shipment. Fill in for contractor support roles as needed. Maintain organized workstations and follow safety protocols. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. Support continuous improvement in kitting processes.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong computer skills and proficiency in inventory software and databases. Ability to solve problems and adapt to changing priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in kitting. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift items of varying weights. Determination and patience in handling repetitive tasks. Willingness to learn new systems and cross-train in related functions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 1 year of experience in inventory or warehouse operations preferred. Experience with handheld scanners and label printing systems preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Positional:
May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to grasp or manipulate small items for assembly. Lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
Gross Mobility:
Rare climbing, or crawling. Infrequent balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
Sensory:
Rare tasting/smelling. Use of color vision. Occasional use of far visual acuity, depth perception, and field of vision. Frequent use of near and midrange visual acuity, and visual accommodation. Frequent to constant talking.
