Production Operator

Job Description The Production Operator plays a key role in a high-volume manufacturing environment by safely handling, packaging, and moving graphite products while maintaining quality standards. This position works 12-hour rotating shifts and involves operating forklifts, performing physical tasks such as lifting and palletizing, and supporting shipping and receiving activities in a fast-paced, industrial setting. Responsibilities Bag and palletize product according to specific instructions and order types. Vacuum large quantities of product from storage holders into industrial bags while following safety and quality procedures. Sort bags and pallets of product to ensure accurate organization and inventory flow. Stage and wrap pallets for storage or outbound shipments. Load and unload shipments using appropriate material handling equipment. Perform quality inspections on bags, pallets, and containers to confirm they meet company standards. Operate a forklift safely to move materials and finished products throughout the facility. Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including staging, organizing, and verifying incoming and outgoing materials. Follow all safety guidelines and use required personal protective equipment while working in a dusty, hot, and noisy environment. Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient and organized production area. Work Environment The role is based in a warehouse/manufacturing facility that produces and distributes graphite. The environment is very dirty, dusty, hot, and noisy, and contractors should expect to get very dirty during their shifts. The production team operates in small groups, with only a few production operators on each team. The position follows a rotating 12-hour DuPont shift schedule, working both days (7:00 AM-7:00 PM) and nights (7:00 PM-7:00 AM) within the same month. Personal protective equipment is provided, except for steel-toe footwear. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hopkinsville, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.09 - $20.09/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
