This role is essential in guiding production associates, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring efficient workflow across the production line. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, mechanically inclined, and committed to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Support production associates to meet plant goals in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale Maintain 5S standards and ensure abnormal situations are properly handled Complete hourly tracking, OEE documentation, and daily production paperwork (scrap, PM, Poke‑Yoke, etc.) Ensure all Rules of Manufacturing and Standard Work are followed Identify and assist in resolving safety concerns Perform required offline inspections and support teardown activities Lead B‑Operators and Production Associates within the work group Report issues to the Production Supervisor and provide improvement suggestions Assist the Supervisor with additional duties as needed Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Experience with problem‑solving tools (8D, PR/R, QR, etc.) Computer literacy and strong written/verbal communication skills Team‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to work independently Skills & Competencies Ability to lead, motivate, and support production team members Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with manufacturing processes Ability to identify improvement opportunities and maintain organized work areas Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to safe work practices Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment Physical Requirements Regularly lift up to 30 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs) Frequent repetitive hand movements (grasping, squeezing, pulling) Ability to stand for extended periods and perform bending, squatting, and climbing Manual dexterity for assembling parts quickly and accurately Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception Work Environment Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and moderate noise Occasional work in hot/cold temperatures and on uneven or slippery surfaces Full‑time position; Monday-Friday with regular extended hours and possible weekends Why Join JTEKT?
