Dorman Products Job Summary Line Leads assist Supervisors in the coordination and management of department activities to meet daily production goals. Primary Duties Review daily production schedule and ensure demands are met through proper scheduling of work Provide leadership, communication and work direction for employees by assigning work and participating in workload where needed Provide training to new and existing employees as needed Periodically review the work of line employees to ensure adherence to quality standards and work instructions Periodically check and ensure line employees have adequate supplies to perform job Ensure employees are aware of and provided with proper protective equipment and trained on chemical use and emergency exits in the department. Responsible for compliance and adherence of safety policies and procedures Inform Supervisors/Plant Manager of any department or employee issues; provide recommendations Contact OES/Maintenance to resolve equipment issues Enter data into and review information in CMS and Training Manager as needed Participate in various improvement activities Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties that may be outside of assigned priorities. Qualifications Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong reasoning skills Great time management and multi-task abilities Ability to work courteously and effectively with all levels of staff Strong team work skills Commitment to Quality and Safety Knowledge of customer requirements as they relate to their job function Ability to identify and address and/or communicate any potential non-conformances Education / Experience Computer experience Hands on experience with all department functions Prior experience with leading a team strongly preferred
