General Production Worker Job Description Join our dynamic team as a General Production Worker, where you will play a critical role in our manufacturing process. This full-time position offers the potential for permanent placement, with opportunities for skill advancement and cross-training. We are looking for motivated individuals to assist in operating rope braiding machines, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities Assist in operating rope braiding machines on the production floor. Read production job specifications to determine machine adjustments and materials required. Document production information on a tally sheet and make basic production entries via written or electronic forms. Perform cleanings and basic preventative maintenance on all equipment. Practice safe work habits, adhere to PPE guidelines, and be aware of machine safety procedures. Review production for defects, inconsistencies, and abnormal appearance to ensure quality control. Identify issues and communicate them with cell or group leaders. Work effectively in a team environment and assist in other areas of the facility when needed. Essential Skills Ability to read and write in English. Ability to lift 50 lbs and push/pull 30 lbs repeatedly. Basic mathematical principles such as length, diameter, weights, and counts. Willingness to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Additional Skills & Qualifications An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Listening carefully to instructions given by cell or group leaders. Cross-training to become proficient in the safe operation of all equipment. Flexibility to assist in other areas of the facility without hesitation. Why Work Here? Shift options include 1st and 2nd shifts with shift differentials. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fall River, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
