The Production Planner/Operations Planning Associate will be responsible for developing daily and weekly production schedules, ensuring optimal workflow, and coordinating resources to meet production targets. This role requires collaboration with various departments to meet customer due dates and ensure the production process runs smoothly. Responsibilities Develop and Maintain Production Schedules
  • Create daily and weekly production schedules based on orders, inventory levels, and capacity.
  • Adjust production schedules as necessary due to changes in demand, material availability, or equipment issues.
  • Track production performance and make real-time adjustments to ensure on-time delivery of products.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure targets and deadlines are met.
  • Monitor raw materials and finished goods inventories to avoid shortages.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely ordering of materials.
  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Generate daily and weekly reports to monitor efficiency, output, and areas for improvement. Resource Allocation
  • Coordinate with team leads and supervisors to allocate labor and equipment efficiently.
  • Balance workloads across shifts to optimize productivity. Communication and Coordination
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and QA teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Communicate scheduling updates and changes to relevant departments. Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in initiatives to improve production processes and reduce costs.
  • Identify and recommend ways to optimize scheduling, materials use, and production timelines. Preferred Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in a production planning, scheduling, or related role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP software and systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Experience participating in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives is a plus.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and supply chain principles.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with production planning software is a plus. Required Experience, Skills
Education:
High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree or technical certification in a related field preferred.
    Analytical Skills:
    Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze production data and suggest process improvements.
      Communication Skills:
      Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams.
        Teamwork:
        Ability to work collaboratively with production teams, supervisors, and other departments.
          Time Management:
          Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
