Metal Sorter Greenfield, MA 01301 From $18 an hour - Temp-to-hire, Full-time From $18 an hour - Temp-to-hire, Full-time Premiere Staffing Services Inc . is currently seeking motivated and dependable candidates for a PIF Trommel Metal Sorter position with our client in the Greenfield area. This is an entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to grow within an industrial production environment. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, reliable, and comfortable performing physically demanding work in both indoor and outdoor environments. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity . Once hired directly by the client, employees will receive an increase to $20.00/HR along with a comprehensive benefits package. Job Responsibilities Material Sorting & Production Support Manually sort and separate materials from the trommel conveyor line Remove objectionable materials and recover valuable metals from the production stream Learn trommel start-up and shutdown procedures and assist when needed Assist other production areas, including Upper Sort operations, as needed Support production during scheduled shutdowns and unexpected breakdowns Equipment Maintenance & Repairs Perform routine maintenance including daily greasing of equipment Assist Team Leads with machinery and conveyor repairs Repair conveyor belts and replace rolls once trained Report equipment concerns and safety hazards promptly Safety & Work Area Maintenance Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times Regularly inspect and clean work areas beneath the trommel Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE Additional Duties Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management Schedule Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Saturdays required as needed based on production demands Must be flexible to work overtime or varying shifts when necessary Work Environment This position is performed in industrial indoor and outdoor environments and may include exposure to: Heat, cold, wet, and dusty conditions Loud production environments Physically demanding work conditions Elevated platforms, catwalks, and deck surfaces Qualifications Strong attendance and reliability required Must have reliable transportation Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable performing physically active work throughout the shift Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Ability to walk, kneel, climb, pull, twist, crawl, and stand for extended periods Previous industrial or manufacturing experience preferred but not required Basic mechanical skills are a plus High school diploma or GED preferred PPE & Safety Requirements Must wear required PPE including: Hard hat Safety glasses High-visibility clothing Gloves Hearing protection Safety-toed boots Benefits Upon Hire Once hired directly by the client, employees may become eligible for: $20.00/HR pay rate 401(k) with company match Health insurance Dental insurance Life insurance Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Employee assistance program People with criminal records are encouraged to apply.
