The Production Operator is a non-exempt, hands-on role responsible for packing tea, picking and shipping orders, and supporting daily production operations in compliance with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards. This position works independently and as part of a TEAm to ensure products are produced accurately, safely, and efficiently according to established procedures. The standard schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with occasional overtime as business needs require.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Weigh tea accurately using scales or weigh-fill machines and package into bags or tins according to specifications. labels neatly and accurately by hand or machine; seal packages using tabletop heat sealers or continuous band sealers. Move finished goods and raw materials; record and verify inventory locations and bin tags. Take ownership of product quality throughout the production and packing process. Complete required GMP documentation, production records, and forms accurately and timely. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with GMP and safety policies. Accurately pick products from inventory based on order specifications. Scan items and pack orders securely into shipping cartons, ensuring breakables are properly protected. Seal and label shipping boxes for efficient and accurate shipment. Cross-train in other production and shipping functions as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED required. Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliable attendance and ability to meet production deadlines. Ability to follow GMP and safety policies and accurately complete required documentation.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Two (2) or more years of related production or manufacturing experience. Familiarity with scanners, inventory systems, or basic computer applications.COMPETENCIES

Ability to stand and/or walk for the full duration of the work shift. Manual dexterity to pick, pack, and handle single items and case lots. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently multiple times per day. Ability to push carts or loads weighing up to 100 pounds. Ability to push up to 50 pounds from pack station to shipping conveyor multiple times daily. Ability to climb stairs on occasion.
