Job Description
A fast-paced visual communications and production company is seeking a Design Lead to join its growing team. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands both design execution and the real-world production side of projects. This is not a pure branding or marketing design position. The ideal candidate is someone who can move quickly, manage high project volume, collaborate cross-functionally, and understand how designs translate into fabrication, production, and installation. You'll work closely with Sales, Project Management, Operations, and Production teams while helping coordinate workflow across the design department. What You'll Be Doing Create and revise production-ready designs using Adobe Illustrator Support large-scale, fast-moving client projects from concept through execution Coordinate workflow and priorities across the design team Review active projects and help ensure deadlines are met Collaborate with operations and production teams to ensure designs are practical and executable Help establish design standards and best practices across the department Support product development initiatives and visual presentations Participate in project status meetings and communicate design updates internally Assist with social media and showcasing completed project work What They're Looking For Strong Adobe Illustrator experience is required Experience in signage, environmental graphics, exhibits/displays, architectural graphics, commercial print, or similar industries strongly preferred Ability to manage multiple projects in a high-volume environment Understanding of production methods, fabrication, materials, and installation considerations Strong communication and organizational skills Comfortable acting as a senior resource or informal lead for other designers Ability to balance creativity with speed, accuracy, and execution Why This Opportunity Stands Out Highly collaborative and team-oriented environment Opportunity to have major influence on department workflow and standards Mix of creative, technical, and operational exposure Stable, growing company with strong project pipeline Opportunity to step into a highly visible role with leadership potential
