Job Description
Job Title:
General Production Worker Responsibilities Adhere to all company safety and quality policies at all times. Follow established ISO work instructions and standard operating procedures as applicable. Complete assigned manufacturing tasks within the allotted time using specified equipment. Operate hand and power tools, as well as other production equipment, according to manufacturer guidelines. Oversee materials during production to minimize scrap and waste. Process scrap material for recycling in accordance with company procedures. Maintain a clean, organized work area and equipment at all times, following 5S standards. Report safety concerns, quality issues, and equipment maintenance needs promptly to a supervisor. Participate in cross-training initiatives in other departments to support business goals and provide coverage as needed. Perform general production, assembly, packing, packaging, and machine operation tasks as assigned. Use a tape measure and basic shop math to ensure accurate measurements and cuts. Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while remaining dedicated to completing tasks correctly and on schedule. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maintain a team-oriented atmosphere. Essential Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and read/write short correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using basic shop math. Ability to accurately read a tape measure. Comfortable and proficient using hand tools and power tools. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and task completion. Work Environment The facility offers a very clean, well-kept, and temperature-controlled environment. Noise levels can be somewhat loud due to production equipment but are not excessive, and there are no unpleasant odors. You will work with hand tools, power tools, and various production machinery, following safety and equipment guidelines. The role is available on a first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and a second shift from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The environment supports a structured, safety-focused culture with organized work areas maintained according to 5S standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Worcester, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
