Job Description

Job description Micropore, Inc. a small manufacturing facility in Elkton, MD that conducts extrusion, extraction, and final packaging of a unique material. Come work with us at Micropore in Elkton, MD. We make a world-class carbon dioxide adsorbent that is integrated in the US military, 75% of the free world submarines and the anesthesia market. Manufacturing experience is preferred, but not required!
Position Title:
Production Seasonal Position Summary:
Reporting to the Production Manager and Lab Manager, the Production Seasonal employee will support production as a floater across various areas as needed. This role involves using equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other production processes. The primary responsibility is to produce cores at a consistent pace of approximately two (2) to three (3) per minute while maintaining quality standards. This position does not require prior manufacturing experience but requires the ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced production environment.
Purpose:
This candidate will assist with assembling customer orders in a timely manner. This candidate will produce complimentary parts for customer deliveries.
Those complimentary parts include:
40,000 pouches the LARV military project 70,000 tailed cores
Duration:
This position is expected to run from early May through mid-September and will be full-time (40 hours per week).
Responsibilities and Duties:
Become proficient at the following tasks: Run equipment independently Check tolerances Package product Maintain clear and concise records Recognize equipment malfunction and report to Supervisor As necessary, required to wear designated personal protective equipment Communicate with Production Manager regarding progress daily. Maintain neat and orderly work area and equipment. Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor and Manager.

Read, write, and comprehend simple work instructions and procedures Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Team player and able to build and maintain relationships Flexible to change and open to constructive feedback Able to work independently with minimal supervision Learn new techniques quickly Always represent the company in a professional manner Must be a U.S.
Citizen Must be able to:
Stand or sit for long periods of time. Tolerate noise levels from office, production, and lab equipment See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer) as required for operating production machines Able to bend, stand, squat and lift up to 50 lbs. consistently Bend, squat or crouch, crawl, kneel, stoop, stretch and stand while performing tasks to meet job requirements Uniform and safety shoe program for all manufacturing personnel. This is an hourly, full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week. As this is a seasonal/temporary role, it is not eligible for PTO or company benefits.
