Production Worker Job Description The General Laborer will support daily operations at a manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for assisting with production support, housekeeping, inspections, and basic maintenance activities within a heavy industrial environment. The position requires strict adherence to safety policies and the ability to work in physically demanding conditions. Responsibilities Perform general housekeeping and cleanup throughout the cement plant and production areas. Assist with routine inspections and checklists on operating equipment. Support plant operations by handling materials, tools, and supplies. Assist maintenance teams with basic mechanical tasks such as lubrication, minor repairs, and part replacement. Operate or assist with light to medium plant mobile equipment as trained. Work in environments that may include dust, heat, confined spaces, heights, and outdoor conditions. Follow all safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE). Work collaboratively as part of a production team. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors. Essential Skills Experience in production, general labor, manufacturing, or construction. Ability to work in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong safety awareness and ability to follow instructions. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, standing, climbing, and bending. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a heavy industrial cement manufacturing facility, involving exposure to cement dust, noise, and industrial equipment. The job requires both indoor and outdoor work, as well as working in confined spaces and elevated areas. The position involves shifts from 4:00 am to 12:00 pm, Tuesday through Saturday, and 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Employees must adhere to a dress code that includes the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Hagerstown, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
