Job Description

About This Position Position Purpose Summary:
Production Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of all job stations within (all) defined production centers (20# / Hayssen Line / Blend Line).
Principal Job Responsibilities:
Adhere to all Food Safety and GMP Policies Follow SOP's and required safety standards o Be observant of physical environment, forklift traffic and fellow co-workers. o Immediately report workplace hazards / safety concerns to management o Immediately report safety incidents and injuries to management o Knowledge of all safety functions for tools required to perform tasks o Immediately report QA product concerns to management Accurate and legibile completion of required production documentation Ensure daily schedules are in line and accurate to products being run and used from inventory Daily setup of multiple workstations within given production lines to desired output levels Communicate and troubleshoot routine mechanical issues with supervisor and maintenance Work within production centers to maixmize personnel utilization and efficiencies Monitor and report opportunities for "waste" or "scrap" reduction in terms of variance Site Specific Lexington (SANITATION): Advanced sanitation duties including but not limited to: o Safe and alert work readiness in a wet wash down environment o Proper squeegee techniques o Proper knowledge of what to wash down and why o Basic dishwashing for daily utensils such as scoops and tubs o Distinguishing between soap and sanitizer applications o Working knowledge of equipment specific sanitation requirements o Knowledge of "zoned" areas within production in accordance with monitored sections for weekly swabbing requirements o Ability to properly sequence sanitation practices to maximize time and results
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Above average skills in attendance Ability to read, write clearly communicate both verbal and written instructions. Ability to follow directions Ability to successfully function within a team environment to achieve goals Attention to detail within a production environment Valid / current forklift certification
Education and Experience:
Degree or Equivalent Production Experience:
High School or GED preferred Physical Demands of the
Position:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee must possess manual dexterity required for using hand tools and operating machinery; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; able to stand or walk for prolonged periods. Ability to climb steps numerous times per day.
Work Environment:
While performing duties of this position, the employee will be exposed to wet and slippery floors, occasionally moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work enviroment is usally moderate to loud; variable tempatures of both heat and cold. GMP Requirements:
Follows all provisions of Paris Foods GMP, Food Safety and Food Defense procedures and processes. Takes ownership of their role in the company's GMP, Food Safety and Food Defense Programs by identifying and elevating any observations in violation of the policies.
