Job Description
Operating in Lewiston, ME since the 1930's, Enterprise Casting Corporation is a world-class foundry supplying high-quality gray and ductile iron castings across North America and Europe. Always seeking to expand and improve our company, we are looking to hire an apprentice level Pattern maker to come join our small, ever-growing manufacturing business. Patterns are at the core of the casting process and require a detailed-orientated team working together to ensure each part produced meets customer expectations. The apprentice level Pattern maker will help create, maintain, pull and store patterns based on the needs of the customer, learning directly from a veteran team of experienced Pattern Makers. The apprentice Pattern Maker will be responsible for:
- Learning to repair wooden patterns
- Learning to make new wooden patterns
- Learning how to gate new parts for iron and bronze castings
- Retrieving and inspecting patterns from the designated pattern warehouse once a job is received
- Inspecting and returning patterns to the designated pattern warehouse location once a job is completed
- Inspecting incoming patterns from outside customers/vendors
- Placing heat numbers on designated patterns according to the daily job schedule
- Disposing of retired patterns that are no longer needed and/or in use
Qualifications:
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma and/or GED
- Ability to read and write English at an intermediate level
- Ability to read a basic print
- Basic to intermediary math skills
- Previous experience in a workshopand/or manufacturing setting
- Forklift experience
- Experience with basic tools

Pay:
$20-21/hour based on relevant prior work experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package (available after a 90-day probationary period) that includes:- Paid Time Off (PTO)
