ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is responsible for the safe operation of steam powered turbines and generators supplying electrical power, and monitoring electrical power distribution, to the plant.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas. Understand and comply with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies to assure that environment, health and safety are the first priority of the business. Actively support key safety initiatives at the facility and assist the department as needed to improve EHS performance and results. Monitors the temperatures and pressure on equipment. Monitors water distribution cycle and water treatment. Monitors the steam cycle and distribution system. Responsible for reporting or correcting mechanical problems of unusual operating conditions. Responsible for maintenance of instruments and charts in prescribed manner.

Responsible for training self in the duties of the Powerhouse Operating Technician to prepare for future advancement. Other duties as assigned. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
