All ShiftsJob SummaryAre you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Production Operator to join our team in Clare, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us to ensure quality production through robotic welding and CNC machine operation.

What You'll Be DoingAs a Production Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
Inspecting Incoming Material:
Ensuring quality specifications and quantities are met.

Operating an
Overhead Crane:
Receiving and issuing raw material to and from saws, trucks, and storage areas.
Robotic Welding and CNC Machine Operation:
Programming, setting up, operating, and adjusting process variables to meet quality demands.

In addition, you will also be expected to maintain inventory control, complete entry of work orders and packing slips, and perform daily shift maintenance inspections. Not only will you be responsible for inspecting and managing raw materials and operating an overhead crane, but you'll also be primarily focused on robotic welding and operating other CNC machines, including programming, setup, and adjustment to ensure quality products.

What We're Looking ForTo be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent desired.

Two years of experience and/or educational related courses on related machinery desired.

Experience/knowledge of blueprint reading, Auto
CAD, CNC
programming, thermal cutting machinery, and welding knowledge preferred.

Ability to obtain a Crane License and fork truck license.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the English language.

Satisfactory math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and basic geometry.

Excellent problem-solving abilities.

Ability to multi-task.

Ability to operate machinery on a three-dimensional basis.

Agility of the upper and lower body extremities, and capable of lifting 50 pounds regularly.
Skills:
Quality Inspection:
To inspect incoming material for quality specification and quantities.
Material Handling:
To receive and issue raw material to and from saws, trucks, and storage areas by operation of an overhead crane.
Robotic Welding and CNC Operation:
Primary focus would be working on the robotic welder and fabrication of products utilizing other CNC machines, including programming, machine setup, operation, and adjustment of process variables to meet quality demands.
Inventory Control:
To maintain inventory control by identifying and labeling raw material with proper identification.
Computer System Entry:
To complete entry of work orders, packing slips, etc., into the main computer system.
Welding Knowledge:
Must be knowledgeable in welding.
Work Order Processing:
To receive and issue raw material according to the work order, prints, routings, and bill of lading.
Program Selection:
To select appropriate programs utilizing the operating software, based upon the work order and print.
Verification:
Cross-checking that revision, part number, and description are correct. Before loading material into the machine, verify correct amount, size, gauge, and length of material has been loaded into the machine and issued to the work order.
Measurement:
Utilizing calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices to verify accuracy.
Quality Assurance:
To check the quality of the first part for appearance and that the part meets print specifications. Assures that the fit, function, and appearance of products are at, or exceed quality standards.
Production Fulfillment:
Fulfills production requirements.
Part Placement:
To place finished parts in proper container/rack and designated location.
Record Keeping:
To record on work order all labor and downtime, documenting all information pertaining to each work order and routing.
Maintenance:
Performs daily shift maintenance inspection per the preventative maintenance (PM) checklist.
Collaboration:
Confers with the Team Leader or Crew Leader on any problems regarding safety, quality, production, inventory issues, etc. Confers with Engineering Programmer to maximize potential efficiency and quality gains in the manufacturing process.
Work Area Maintenance:
Maintain high quality standards as regards to machine and work area. Removal of all metal scrap, debris, and residue from machine as needed.
