Job Description
Description This position is hourly in the plant facility. Position is responsible for operating or tending production equipment to required tolerances and specifications as dictated by the customer order. The wage range for this position is based on job fit and experience. Shift 1st shift M-F 7am-3:30pm Requirements
Prepares and adjusts press as required by product plans and production schedules
Ensures that there are enough raw materials available
Inspects products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications
Ensures blue books are filled out properly as they apply
Notify supervisor of all miss-hits
Record count times accurately in PLEX
Provide continuous improvement ideas
Maintain a safe work environment
Maintain efficiency production rate
Maintain quality product according to quality operational procedures
Keep work area clean and organized
Willingness to share new ideas to make processes better
Reliable, responsible, dependable at fulfilling obligations
Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans
Ability to assess products for quality compliance
Good time management skills
Basic computer and math skills
Good judgment and decision-making skills
Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, distinguish color, operate machines, and visually inspect parts produced
Sufficient manual dexterity to operate machines properly, to quickly respond to a signal when it appears
Physical ability to do work requiring frequent lifting, twisting, bending, stooping, pulling, pushing, walking and standing for 8+ hours per day
Physical ability to do work that requires lifting/pulling/carrying weights ranging from 1 to 50 lbs.
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period without being distracted
Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environment Ability to operate computers that are part of the manufacturing process Ability and willingness to cross-train in other areas Willingness to work 40 hours per week with possible mandatory/voluntary over-time Willingness to work in temperatures ranging from approximately 60 to 95 degrees F Ability to multi-task Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, inter-department personnel, and other department heads
Preferred:
At least one year of experience in metal fabrication or related work
Knowledge of PLEX System Pay:
From $17.00 per hour
