Based in Flint, Michigan, the 1st Shift Production Team Leader oversees three to four production lines, Line Leads, and their employees to ensure an efficient assembly of customer orders. How you will impactPackaging Solutions Smurfit Westrock :
Oversee three to four Line Leads and production lines Run routine reports, queries, and process orders through the fulfillment system Research and resolve order irregularities and processing issues Identify and track materials used in production Maintain all inventory control practices for assigned fulfillment location(s) Verify physical stock counts and investigate and report reasons for variances prior to adjusting system counts Prepare reports such as open orders, inventory balances, and shortages Compare physical inventories to office records or compute figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to determine current inventory levels Develop and maintain quality and productivity metrics and implement continuous improvement plans to enhance warehouse performance Quickly identify and communicate issues to branch and inventory management Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required Operate a forklift as needed Perform additional duties as assigned What you need to succeed: High school diploma or equivalent. At least two years of experience leading a crew in a production or distribution environment Proficiency in spoken and written English Basic computer skillsPhysical Demands:
