Production Lead / Event Manager About Utsav Planners Utsav Planners specializes in Indian weddings and cultural events , providing full-service decor and event production. Our work often includes multi-day celebrations, large-scale installations, and detailed ceremonial setups. Our team handles everything from delivery and setup to breakdown at the end of each event. We're looking for dependable crew members who are comfortable with hands-on work and can help execute complex wedding setups smoothly and on schedule. Position Overview This role focuses on setup and teardown of wedding decor at event venues. You'll work as part of a crew loading trucks, installing decor elements, and breaking everything down after events that may span long days or multiple functions. This is a physical, fast-moving job that requires attention to detail and the ability to follow direction in a busy, high-expectation environment. Responsibilities Load and unload decor, rentals, and equipment at warehouse and venues Transport items between the warehouse, trucks, and venues Set up ceremony, reception, and pre-function decor based on provided layouts Assemble mandaps, stages, backdrops, draping, signage, tablescapes, and lighting Make on-site adjustments as directed by the production lead Assist with late-night and multi-event teardowns Organize decor items at warehouse and report any damage or missing inventory Work efficiently while maintaining safety standards and timelines Requirements Able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for long periods Reliable transportation and consistent, on-time arrival to job sites Strong availability for long shifts , including evenings, weekends, and late-night teardowns Comfortable working extended hours , especially during multi-day wedding events Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various conditions Must be comfortable working on a ladder Strong reliability, teamwork, and follow-through Preferred Experience Previous event setup, decor, or production work Experience with weddings, large cultural events, or Indian wedding functions Ability to follow diagrams, checklists, and verbal instructions Comfortable driving 16-foot and 24-foot box trucks Compensation & Perks $16/hour base pay Additional teardown premiums for late-night breakdowns Consistent seasonal work, especially during peak wedding season Team-based work environment
