Steel Tube Mill Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled Steel Tube Mill Operator to ensure the precision and quality of our steel tube production. This role involves working with advanced machinery in a dynamic environment, requiring both technical expertise and a commitment to maintaining high standards. Responsibilities Ensure proper length, straightness, and quality of the tubes. Troubleshoot and provide maintenance on the mill. Load coils and weld coil ends together. Assist with and complete changeovers. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of steel tube mill operation experience. Ability to check specifications for length, straightness, and overall quality. Proficiency in loading steel coils and performing mill changeovers and setup adjustments. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with roll forming, machine operating, steel fabrication, and machine shop operations. Skills in tube bending, pipe fitting, and welding. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is an automotive setting that can be greasy and rough, requiring appropriate safety measures. The facility operates on multiple shifts: 1st shift from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, and 3rd shift from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am, with potential overtime including weekends. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Milan, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $42848.00 - $54080.00/yr.
