Shift Location:
Sterling Heights, MI (18 1/2 Mile & Van Dyke Area)
Pay Rate:
$20.00•$21.00/hour
Shift:
3rd Shift | Monday•Friday | 6:00 PM•2:30 AM Overtime and weekends may be required based on production needs.
Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced Automotive Team Leaders for a Tier 1 manufacturing facility in Sterling Heights. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supporting production operations, maintaining safety and quality standards, and assisting with daily workflow coordination on the manufacturing floor. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, prior industrial manufacturing experience, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced production environment.
Requirements Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support production employees throughout daily manufacturing operations Ensure all workstations meet safety, 1+5S, TPM, and quality standards Assist with employee training and ensure work is completed according to proper method sheets and procedures Support accurate production reporting through proper work order scanning within the Oracle Production System Ensure rework documentation is completed and submitted properly Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on safety, productivity, and continuous improvement Assist on the production floor as a working team member when needed Help maintain lean manufacturing initiatives, TPM, VSM, and 1+5S programs Verify and sign off on completed outbound production prior to movement to the next production stage Conduct First5 meetings and maintain First5 boards in the Supervisor's absence Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on industrial manufacturing experience required Previous leadership or team lead experience preferred Sit-down propane forklift experience required Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts is a plus Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
