Job Description

We're growing—and this is an opportunity to grow with us. As a Packaging Operations Lead, you'll be at the center of a fast-moving production environment, helping shape how our packaging operations scale, improve, and succeed. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll spend time on the floor supporting the team, solving problems in real time, and making a visible impact every day. You'll help build and develop a strong production team, ensure smooth and accurate operations, and drive improvements in quality, efficiency, and safety. You'll also play a key role in bringing new ideas to life—from process improvements to new products and packaging innovations.   • Note that this is a 2nd Shift position.
Working hours will be from 3:30 pm to midnight. What You'll Do Lead day-to-day packaging operations with a strong on-floor presence, supporting team performance and production flow Ensure accurate inventory, material usage, and work order transactions Support hiring, onboarding, training, and staffing to build a high-performing team Drive continuous improvement efforts, including waste reduction, yield optimization, and problem-solving Partner with Quality, Safety, and Engineering to maintain compliance, resolve issues, and minimize downtime Uphold and enforce food safety and quality standards (GMPs, SSOPs) across all packaging activities Support new product launches, packaging technology, and operational innovations Help develop and maintain standard work, SOPs, and job safety analyses Promote a safe, accountable work environment and ensure consistent application of company policies
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent with 3-5 years of production experience as a machine technician or in operations leadership 2 years of formal training in the coffee industry or food manufacturing Capable of reading, understanding, and communicating production documents and safety manuals Experience with manufacturing processes and system controls Intermediate-level math, reading, and writing skills Intermediate-level computer skills Has a high degree of personal accountability and deadline/time management Excels in a results-oriented and dynamic environment; is flexible and can respond quickly and effectively to business needs
Physical Requirements and Environmental Exposures:
The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, and the following: Able to work 8-hour shifts while standing, lifting, bending, and reaching Must be able to work on your feet for over 9 straight hours Able to perform physical tasks that are repetitive and lift up to 30 lbs on a regular basis Must be able to lift 80 pounds 20% of the shift Must be able to endure constant leaning and bending during shift Must be able to handle/move up to 750-pound bins on casters The environmental exposures for this position are: Airborne particles, fumes, high places, moving parts, muscular strain, noise, odors, and high temperatures These physical requirements must be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodation.   • $28.
The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education, certifications or licenses, other legitimate non-discriminatory business factors, and the geographic location of the role. In addition to base pay, individuals in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
