Job Description

Job Title:
Stator Winder Insulator Job Description The Stator Winder Insulator winds, tapes, and insulates coils for stators used in motors and generators, ensuring high-quality insulation and adherence to specifications. This role prepares and applies insulation materials, follows established methods and procedures, and uses hand and power tools to complete work accurately and efficiently. The position requires completion of daily and weekly TPM tasks, and involves working under normal supervision with the expectation of progressing to proficient performance after 5,000 hours of experience. Responsibilities Wind, tape, and insulate coils for stators used in motors and generators according to specifications. Prepare insulation materials as required for stator cores and windings. Read and interpret blueprints, insulation diagrams, and work instructions to guide daily tasks. Apply insulation materials such as slot liners, phase paper, wedges, and tapes to stator cores and windings. Use hand tools and specialized equipment to cut, shape, and install insulation components. Ensure proper fit and alignment of insulation to prevent electrical shorts and mechanical wear. Inspect insulation work for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to specifications and quality standards. Maintain accurate documentation of materials used and work completed. Collaborate with winding and hookup teams to support a smooth workflow and consistent quality output. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Perform daily and weekly TPM tasks with accuracy and consistency. Use hand and power tools safely and effectively as required for production tasks. Perform other duties as designated by the supervisor within the same salary grade or below. Essential Skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints, insulation diagrams, and work instructions. Experience in winding, taping, and insulating stator coils for motors and generators. Proficiency using hand tools and specialized equipment to cut, shape, and install insulation components. Capability to apply insulation materials such as slot liners, phase paper, wedges, and tapes to stator cores and windings. Strong attention to detail to ensure proper fit and alignment of insulation and to prevent electrical shorts and mechanical wear. Ability to inspect insulation work for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to specifications. Experience maintaining accurate documentation of materials used and work completed. Commitment to following all safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organized work area. General labor, assembly, mechanical, and production experience. Ability to work under normal supervision and complete daily and weekly TPM tasks accurately and consistently. 5,000 hours of experience required to perform work proficiently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in coil or stator manufacturing environments. Ability to collaborate effectively with winding and hookup teams. Willingness to perform other duties within the same salary grade or below as assigned by supervision. Openness to training on CNC-driven machines to support career progression opportunities. Multiple shifts are available:
first shift runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., second shift runs Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., and a weekend fourth shift runs Friday through Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The workplace emphasizes adherence to safety procedures, cleanliness, and organization, with normal supervision and clearly defined tasks to support efficient and consistent operations. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of North Mankato, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $49400.00 - $60792.00/yr.
