Job Description

Job Title:
Production Worker Job Description The role of the Production Worker involves staging shipments, moving products with a sit-down forklift, correctly labeling products, and chemical filling. The plant manufactures and distributes chemicals used in industrial products, food manufacturing, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Tasks may include filling totes, cleaning, scraping off labels, relabeling, manual filling, staging for shipment, and loading and unloading trucks using a forklift. Responsibilities Stage shipments and move products using a sit-down forklift. Correctly label products and handle chemical filling. Fill totes, clean them, scrape off labels, and relabel as necessary. Complete manual fills and prepare products for shipment. Load and unload trucks using a forklift. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience working in a production environment, with GMP regulation preferred. 3+ years of forklift experience. Ability to read a tape measure. Must be able to follow instructions and take orders. Safety-oriented mindset. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with GMPs, material handling, and chemical handling. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a chemical plant, which may smell of ammonia or chlorine. Protective wear, face shields, glasses, and full rubber suits are provided for handling chemicals. The facility operates Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm on the 1st shift. After training, a rotation requires working from 8 am to 5:30 pm one month out of every 9-11 months. Availability for a shift from 7 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday is necessary. While the environment is dirty, it is kept clean for the nature of the work, offering ample growth opportunities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
