Job Description

  • Job Title:
    Production Worker
  • Job Description
  • The Production Worker operates equipment in a controlled clean-room environment to handle, mix, batch, package, and transfer chemical materials used in pharmaceutical manufacturing. This role follows detailed standard operating procedures to safely process bulk products into smaller packaged units while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting routine equipment maintenance.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Handle, store, transfer, and transport chemical materials used in pharmaceutical manufacturing while wearing appropriate protective gown, mask, safety glasses, and hair net.
+ Operate production equipment in a controlled, clean-room type environment to mix, blend, batch, and package chemical products. + Adjust equipment settings based on batch size, temperature requirements, and run times to meet production specifications. + Follow detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to perform all tasks safely and consistently. + Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on production equipment as required to support efficient operations. + Record operating data, test results, and instrument readings accurately and in a timely manner. + Complete and maintain documentation such as shipping and receiving paperwork, plant data sheets, environmental reports, inventory sheets, and inspection reports. + Work from and follow work orders to ensure correct materials, quantities, and processes are used during production. + Use computer systems and shipping or inventory software to print labels, track product, and support production and logistics activities. + Lift and move materials and products, including performing manual labor and handling loads up to 75 pounds as needed. + Support inventory control by accurately tracking materials and finished products throughout the production process. + Collaborate with team members and follow all safety, quality, and cleanliness requirements within the production area.
  • Essential Skills
  • + At least 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing production environment.
+ A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) type environment such as food, chemical, or medical production. + At least 1 year of experience working from and following work orders in a production setting. + Ability and willingness to perform manual labor and lift up to 75 pounds safely and repeatedly as needed. + Solid computer skills, including the ability to type, send emails, and navigate basic software applications. + Experience using shipping or inventory software to print labels and track product for production. + Ability to follow detailed SOPs and work instructions with strong attention to safety and quality. + Capability to work in a clean-room type environment while wearing full protective gowning and personal protective equipment. + Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording data and completing documentation.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + At least 1 year of experience in a medical, chemical, or food environment performing mixing and weighing of products or materials.
+ Experience with chemical packaging processes, including mixing, blending, and preparing materials for shipment. + Comfort working with documentation such as environmental reports, inspection reports, and plant data sheets. + Ability to adjust equipment based on batch size, temperature, and run time requirements. + Strong organizational skills for managing multiple forms of production and shipping documentation. + Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as skills develop.

  • Work Environment
  • The role is based in a clean, well-lit production area designed for blending and packaging chemical materials in a pharmaceutical-related setting.
Employees work in a smaller, controlled environment that is comfortable and organized to support focus and safety. Team members fully gown up, including gown, mask, safety glasses, and hair net, to maintain a clean-room type setting. The position follows a first-shift schedule, typically from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, supporting a consistent daytime work routine.

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
