In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining commercial web presses while ensuring high-quality production standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Lead all press setups, including mounting plates, adjusting registration, setting ink keys, and bringing jobs up to color. Make final quality decisions regarding color, registration, density, and overall print appearance. Monitor production runs to ensure customer specifications and quality standards are met. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, print quality, and material-related issues during production. Direct and support 2nd Pressmen and Roll Tenders to ensure efficient workflow and productivity. Perform advanced press adjustments, calibrations, and routine preventative maintenance. Maintain production schedules while minimizing waste, spoilage, and downtime. Complete required production documentation, quality checks, and job reports accurately. Communicate effectively with supervisors, scheduling teams, and quality personnel regarding job status and production concerns. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Qualifications Proven experience as a lead operator on commercial web presses, with the ability to independently run jobs from setup through completion. Experience operating Heidelberg and Goss Web Presses strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to evaluate and make decisions regarding color quality, registration, density, and overall print output. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience performing press adjustments, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Leadership experience directing and training team members in a manufacturing environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly identify and resolve production issues. High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work that meets customer expectations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
