In this role, you will play a critical part in rebuilding and preparing tank valves used in essential industrial processes. What You'll Do Rebuild and refurbish tank valves to ensure safe and reliable operation Operate pressing and pressurizing equipment to install valves onto tanks Assemble completed tanks onto pallets and transport them using a sit-down forklift Perform general labor tasks such as cleaning, surface preparation, and relabeling Support staging, tagging, bagging, and labeling to prepare products for shipment Assist with warehouse and shipping operations, including material organization Work safely around chemicals such as chlorine and ammonia while following all protocols Accurately read measurements using a tape measure to meet specifications Follow established procedures and supervisor direction to meet production goals Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Remain flexible to support other plant locations when needed (advance notice provided) Participate in overtime as required to meet production demand What You Bring Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in a production environment (GMP experience preferred) Proven sit-down forklift experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting Ability to lift 75-100 pounds consistently throughout the shift Strong attention to detail and ability to read a tape measure accurately Ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment Commitment to safety, especially when working with chemicals and heavy equipment Ability to pass a respirator fit test and work while wearing protective equipment Comfort working in environments with chemical odors such as ammonia and chlorine Preferred Experience Staging, bagging, tagging, and labeling in production or warehouse settings Chemical handling or exposure to regulated environments Familiarity with shipping workflows, palletizing, and material movement Experience working under GMP or similar production standards Willingness to learn to fill chlorine tanks once hired permanently Why Join Us Clear path from contract to union position Competitive wages with annual plant-wide increases Long-term career opportunities with strong employee retention Structured career advancement and internal mobility programs Comprehensive benefits supporting your health and work-life balance A team-oriented environment focused on safety and growth
Work Environment & Schedule Location:
Saint Paul facility with occasional support at a nearby plant
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Overtime:
Available based on production needs This is a physically active, hands-on role in a chemical production setting. The facility may have odors from ammonia and chlorine, and work areas can be rugged due to the nature of the operation. Safety is a top priority, and all required personal protective equipment—including face shields, safety glasses, respirators, and full protective suits—is provided.
