Millerbernd Manufacturing is looking for a Production Operator 2 to join our 1st shift team within the Circular Products (CP) business unit in Sauk Rapids. This Production Operator 2 is responsible for various production tasks in the manufacturing of various metal products in accordance with product specifications.

• N/A As a Production Operator 2 , you will: Operate various standard and single purpose machines or hand and power tools to remove undesirable material Perform visual and dimensional checking using various gauges and instruments Report defects and machine or tool malfunctions Perform clean-up, grinding, drilling, blast booth, straightening, cutting, galvanizing process preparation and general production support tasks Performs Hot Stick galvanize repair and fixes dents using Porta Power as needed Use hoist or other material handling equipment to transport materials and product into and out of the work area as required Examine finished products for defects Accurately label all parts for routing to next operation Acts as area expert for monitoring the production board and internal paperwork to perform the tasks in the designated sequence Achieves and maintains crane certification based on area needs Operates the overhead crane to load and unload poles Bundles poles Participate and support Continuous Improvement initiatives Maintain 5S guidelines Communicate relevant information and concerns positively and effectively to others in timely manner May train employees Cross-functionally trained Role Qualifications as a Production Operator 2 : Experience with mechanical machines or devices, preferring electrical and/or mechanical assembly Experience using an Overhead Crane to move materials High attention to detail Skill of effective and appropriate verbal and written communication skills Skill to operate various precision measuring tools and hand tools Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical drawings, operating instructions, procedures and prints Ability to perform basic shop math functions Ability to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperwork in English Ability to electronically record production information Ability to work with others as part of a high-performance team Ability to adapt to changing work priorities Able to work under limited supervision May be required to keep and maintain crane certification Basic knowledge in interpreting prints and drawings

Physical Demands:

This position requires the individual to wear and work in company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE). This position requires that the individual can lift a minimum of 50lbs. And, if applicable, can maneuver large, cumbersome equipment with the use of an overhead crane and/or forklift. Must be able to work in, on, or around equipment and machinery.
