Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Paid Holidays 401(k) Career Growth Opportunities Stable, Long-Term Manufacturing Environment Lead from the Floor — Not Behind a Desk Thern, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Electro-Mechanical Production Team Lead to support and coordinate the daily activities of an electrical assembly team while actively participating in production and assembly work. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with electro-mechanical assembly, electrical controls, panel building, motor controls, or manufacturing leadership experience who enjoys solving problems, supporting teams, and staying involved in the technical side of production. What You'll Do:
Team Leadership & Production Coordination Serve as a working team lead supporting the daily efforts of the assembly team Spend approximately 10-15% of time on leadership and coordination responsibilities while remaining hands-on in production Lead shift startup meetings and coordinate workflow priorities Assign daily work based on schedules, skillsets, and production needs Support employee training, onboarding, and cross-training efforts Serve as the first escalation point for production-related issues Electrical & Electro-Mechanical Assembly Support electrical panel builds, wire harness assembly, and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies Interpret and work from: Electrical schematics Ladder logic diagrams Assembly drawings Assist with assembly and testing of: Specialized motor controls Electrical winch motor starters Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) Support VFD programming and troubleshooting Quality, Safety & Continuous Improvement Ensure compliance with Safety, Quality, ISO, and company standards Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Maintain communication with leadership regarding schedules, priorities, and production concerns Participate in weekly team meetings focused on accountability and process improvement Administrative & Team Support Validate weekly time entries and approve time clock cards Coordinate PTO scheduling to maintain operational coverage Provide input on employee development and skill assessments Escalate personnel concerns to supervisors, plant management, or HR when needed
What We're Looking For:
Experience in electro-mechanical assembly or manufacturing operations Ability to read and interpret: Electrical schematics Ladder logic diagrams Mechanical assembly drawings Experience with: Electrical panel builds Motor controls Wire harness assembly VFDs (preferred) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and team leadership abilities Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree in electronics, operations, business management, or related field Lean manufacturing experience Experience leading or mentoring production employees Knowledge of ISO and quality standards Why Join Thern?
