Bakery Production Associate

Overview Bakers Pride is a growing small business seeking individuals with a passion for food. In this role, you will work with a team to prepare, bake, decorate, and package a variety of bakery items depending on the items that need to be produced for the day. We are a small team so we are looking for dependable teammates to continue to build on a strong foundation. Generally, in terms of hours we will run from 8a to about 4p or 5p. Out times will flex abut an hour depending on how much is to be done as we take orders daily from our customers. We have some flexibility in start times, so please let us know if you had something else in mind. We are particularly good fit for individuals who are seeking to build a long term career. Duties Assist in food preparation by mixing, measuring, and assembling ingredients for baked goods and pastries Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and decorating tools efficiently and safely Decorate cakes and pastries with icing, frosting, and other creative toppings to enhance visual appeal Package baked items carefully to maintain freshness and presentation during handling and delivery Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the production area in compliance with food safety regulations Support food production processes by following recipes accurately and managing multiple tasks simultaneously Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals while ensuring quality control at every stage Qualifications Previous experience in food production, baking, pastry arts, or related culinary fields is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key! Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and decorating tools Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Strong attention to detail with an eye for presentation and consistency in product quality Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment Customer service experience is a plus, especially when interacting with clients or assisting with catering events Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50-70lbs as needed during shifts
