Job Title:
Production Operator Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Production Operator, where you will be assigned to work on a production line and learn the entire process including mixing, packaging, and operating machinery for tasks such as panning, portioning, baking, extracting, and grinding. You will play a crucial role in ensuring product quality and consistency, while also completing necessary paperwork, performing hourly metal detector checks, and following new processes. Responsibilities Operate machinery for mixing, packaging, and other line-specific tasks. Complete and maintain necessary paperwork for production processes. Perform metal detector checks on the hour to ensure product safety. Scan products in and out of production lines. Verify correct labeling on packaged products. Be prepared to work as a floater across different lines and positions. Lift boxes and stack them as part of the production process. Measure and weigh products for packaging into pre-made boxes with liners. Essential Skills Ability to lift 50lbs regularly. Proficiency in packaging, labeling, and machine operating. Experience in measuring and batch making. Competence in using pallet jacks and metal detectors. Additional Skills & Qualifications Preferably 6 months of manufacturing experience. Food manufacturing experience is advantageous. Experience in packing, palletizing, visual inspection, machine operating, blending, etc. Driven to advance within the company. Work Environment Work in a clean, well-lit food manufacturing facility that adheres to all health and safety guidelines. Operators should expect a fast-paced environment with significant standing. Contractors must wear hairnets, beard nets, steel-toed shoes, and lab coats. The climate-controlled facility can get dusty and reach up to 100 degrees due to machinery and ovens. Training will be provided for shifts from 6:30am-6:50pm and 6:30pm-6:50am. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
