Assistant Distiller

Rosedale Distilling Company is seeking a motivated and dependable Assistant Distiller to support all aspects of daily production operations. This is a physically demanding hands-on role responsible for assisting in all stages of the distilling process, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient production environment. This position is ideal for someone passionate about craft spirits who is eager to develop technical skills and grow within the distilling industry. Key Responsibilities Assist in all stages of spirit production, including milling, mashing, fermentation, distillation, proofing, and barreling Monitor and maintain fermentation and distillation processes under the guidance of the Head Distiller Perform cleaning and sanitation of equipment and production areas Follow and enforce strict safety protocols and compliance standards Support quality control efforts, including sampling and record-keeping Assist with bottling, labeling, and packaging as needed Maintain accurate production logs and inventory records Contribute to general facility upkeep and organization Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age Prior professional experience in beverage production (distilling, brewing, winemaking, or related field) preferred Strong understanding of safety practices in a production environment Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, standing for long periods, working in varying temperatures) Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as production demands require Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Schedule Expectations Typical schedules may include either four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts per week Production needs may require flexibility, including evening and weekend work Additional Considerations This position is based in a rural location; candidates should be open to commuting or relocating Passion for craft spirits and a desire to grow in the industry is highly valued What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Hands-on training and mentorship under an experienced Head Distiller Health insurance with employer contribution Paid time off, including holidays and sick leave Equal Opportunity Employer Rosedale QALICB Manager LLC d/b/a Rosedale Distilling Company is an equal opportunity employer.
