Production Associate

About us Pure Intentions Coffee is a small, family-owned and operated coffee roaster in Charlotte, North Carolina, home to 15 employees. We proudly produce specialty roasted coffee and ready-to-drink cold brew coffee products that are self-distributed to restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, and more throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. Pure Intentions Coffee is seeking a candidate to fill a full-time position as an associate on our production team joining the coffee packaging operations and accessories gathering. The position reports directly to the Operations Manager. This production associate position is performed in a warehouse environment and includes floor operations, daily planning, order fulfillment, quality checks, and assembly-line style responsibilities:

Floor Operations:

Daily reporting for task assignment. Bag labeling and prep for daily dry coffee production Filling bags for daily production Staging of daily orders Boxing and loading of daily orders Participating in assembly line for large purchase order fulfillment of dry coffee General area cleaning and upkeep Learning food safety standards for coffee production Maintaining daily pace of production and awareness of deadlines Required skills include: Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds to shoulder level Attention to detail as it relates to an end-to-end production process Ability to understand and troubleshoot processes Punctuality, reliability, work ethic, and organizational skills Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively Problem solving and analytical abilities applied both to tangible operations scenarios and for planning purposes Must have basic computer skills to use internal email and production tools Other beneficial experience includes: Experience with food safety operations, or experience operating in an organization with food safety standards and requirements Experience with food manufacturing environments or programs

Position Details:

Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with an hour lunch break (40 hours per week) Healthcare benefits (including vision and dental) available after 60 days of employment, partially subsidized by the company 401(k) with up to 4% matching contributions by company Work is performed in a warehouse environment Though we are a small team at Pure Intentions Coffee, we service our clients with a high level of commitment and passion that, combined with high quality products, has allowed us to grow significantly over the last few years.
