Our company specializes in the custom design and execution of a wide variety of thermal and protective components and heat shield products. Job Summary The Sewing Machine Mechanic maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on industrial sewing machines and related equipment. This role diagnoses and corrects mechanical issues, replaces defective parts, and conducts inspections to ensure safe, reliable operation, minimize downtime, and support product quality and production efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled sewing machine mechanic who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, problem-solving, and working with a variety of industrial sewing equipment.

Monday- Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm We are proud to offer: Benefits package that includes: Medical, Dental, Vision, EAP 401(k) with employer matching Paid time off Paid Holidays Tuition Reimbursement Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and setting up a variety of manual, automatic, and programmable sewing machines used in the production of lightweight and heavy-duty textile products. Perform equipment installation and setup for new and/or refurbished equipment. Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment. Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment. Perform preventive maintenance to ensure machines are operating safely and efficiently. Work with a variety of machines including Juki, Consew, Mitsubishi, Jack, automated tackers, sergers, and walking-foot machines. Recommend tooling, equipment improvements, parts, and other solutions to improve machine performance and production efficiency. Manage spare parts inventory and recommend parts to be ordered. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 5+ years of experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial sewing machines. Experience with heavy-duty industrial sewing equipment. Ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and technical machine issues. Experience working with manual, automatic, and programmable sewing machines. Ability to read and interpret machine manuals, diagrams, parts books, and schematics. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Experience supporting sewing operations involving lightweight fabrics, canvas, webbing, ballistic nylon, and other heavy-duty textiles. Ability to recommend practical solutions for machine setup, tooling, fixturing, and production challenges. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Job Type:
