Sun-Thurs 10pm-6:30am 8 hr shiftPosition Overview:
- The Production Technician is great entry level opportunity for recent university graduates as well as experienced individuals that are interested in working in the production and manufacturing operations to produce vaccines.
- The individual in this position will support the manufacturing process through hands on activities such as Sterile Supply assemblies and Media formulations.
- Provides all documentation necessary to allow proper accountability and traceability of product.
- Maintains, inventories, and transports all required equipment, materials, supplies, and products.
- Performs general maintenance and assists in troubleshooting of equipment.
- Identifies and addresses compliance, environmental, safety, and process deviations as appropriate
- while notifying appropriate personnel.
- Maintains, cleans and prepares equipment used in vaccine production.
- Provides timely delivery of sample and other materials as required to appropriate laboratories.
- Heavily focus on performing housekeeping in all work areas. Executes facility decontamination according to procedures.
- Self-motivated to maintain own training status
Education Qualifications:
Required:
A minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this position.Preferred:
Bio Works Certificate or Bachelor's degree in Life Science or Engineering or an Associate's degree in Life Science or- Engineering with at least 2 years relevant experience (working in an FDA regulated industry) is strongly preferred.
Essential Requirements:
- The client is completely smoke free.
- Position requires aseptic gowning during performance of job duties. Aseptic gowning requires that all skin and hair are covered through wearing the following: beard/moustache cover, hair net, hood and facemask, goggles, jumpsuit, gloves and boots. Employees must abide by the aseptic gowning requirements as an essential requirement.
- Must be willing and able to lift, push and pull 50 lbs. (Candidates must be willing to take a Physical
- Ability Testing as a condition of employment during prescreening process)
- Must be willing to be vaccinated/blood tested for titer for products manufactured within the facility
- Must be willing to work 8 hour shifts (10pm - 6:30am)
- Must be willing to work night shifts Sunday through Thursday.
- Must be flexible and willing to work shift schedules which may include working every other weekend, holidays and morning shifts.
