Digital Pattern Designer Hourly Pay:
$28•30

Hickory, NC Furniture MFG To be considered for this role, you must have experience with digital pattern software including Morgan MD Pattern Design, Gerber, and Lectra Formaris. Position Summary ProStaffing is seeking an experienced Digital Pattern Designer for our client in the upholstered furniture industry. This role is responsible for converting product concepts into accurate, production-ready patterns that support quality standards, material efficiency, and manufacturing consistency. The ideal candidate brings strong digital pattern expertise, upholstery construction knowledge, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with multiple departments. Essential Responsibilities Pattern Development & Technical Documentation 1. Create and manage style numbers and F# identifiers for new and existing products. 2. Develop detailed fabric and leather patterns specific to upholstery applications. 3. Clean up and finalize digitized patterns to ensure production accuracy. 4. Produce Morgan and Lectra markers to optimize material usage and reduce waste. 5. Generate plastic patterns for denim and other specialty materials. 6. Prepare sew note cushion pattern images and flat work pattern visuals to support manufacturing clarity. 7. Develop and distribute complete specification documentation, including spec sheets and construction details. Cross-Functional Collaboration 1. Partner with Product Development, Upholstery, Cutting, and Sewing teams to ensure patterns align with design intent, durability requirements, and manufacturing efficiency. 2. Work closely with Quality and Production teams to troubleshoot pattern-related issues and improve overall fit, form, and function. 3. Support operational alignment initiatives that enhance workflow and customer satisfaction. Process Improvement & Organization 1. Maintain organized digital pattern libraries for traceability and accuracy. 2. Identify and implement improvements related to fabric utilization, time efficiency, and production processes. 3. Provide feedback to product teams to improve manufacturability and ease of upholstery application. Required Qualifications 1. Previous experience as a Pattern Maker in upholstered furniture or a related manufacturing environment required. 2. Proficiency with digital pattern software including Morgan MD Pattern Design, Gerber, and Lectra Formaris. 3. Strong knowledge of upholstery construction, fabrics, leathers, and cutting/sewing processes. 4. High attention to detail with a proven ability to ensure pattern accuracy and consistency.
