Shift:
2nd Shift | Monday through Friday | 3:00 PM to 11PM Summary Description The Slitter Assistant reports directly to the Plant Superintendent and is responsible for performing tasks necessary to support high-quality, efficient, and timely shipment of TOPPAN products. Excellent attendance is critical to team success. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, works well across teams, and brings strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and pride in their work. What You'll Be Doing Pack roll stock from the Slitting and Press Departments Assist Slitter Operators in secondary slitting operations with a focus on increasing production efficiency on the assigned shift Support Slitter Operators by moving and wrapping pallets, staging rolls to be slit, and keeping the department supplied with materials Cut cores, empty trash and trim bins, reclaim rolls on rewinder equipment, and pack finished rolls with proper labels, boxes, and pallets Collect samples for Quality Assurance and Customer Service as requested on work orders Move finished goods to the wrapping staging area Review scheduling lists and prepare required materials to execute production orders Keep recyclables, cores, cardboard, and materials organized and properly segregated Operate slitter equipment and fill in during PTO coverage or absences as needed We'd Love to Hear From You If You have an excellent attendance history You have proven success in a fast-paced environment You work well with multiple teams and solve problems effectively You take pride in your work and have strong analytical and organizational skills You have strong attention to detail You can occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl You can frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds You can occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds You can regularly use hands and fingers to handle tools, materials, and controls You have 6 to 12 months of work experience preferred You have good reading and math skills You can read a ruler and measure in inches (to 1/16") , centimeters, and millimeters You can understand and interpret work orders tied to customer specifications Forklift or lift truck experience is a plus Benefits At TOPPAN Packaging Americas, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to support overall wellbeing.
