You'll be hands-on in every stage of production, from prepping ingredients and crafting batches to packing, staging, and shipping our products out into the world. Like all roles at Big Spoon Roasters, this position grows and evolves as we do because we believe in learning, flexibility, and shared success. How You'll Contribute (Responsibilities) Preparing, producing, and packaging nut butter and bar ingredients Roasting, milling, and mixing nuts to perfection Following recipes and FDA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Learning and implementing industry-leading food safety practices Recording daily batches and keeping inventory on point Tasting every batch to ensure it hits the right flavor and texture (yes, really) Keeping our production space sparkling clean—equipment, dishes, tables, and warehouse included Inspecting products and flagging any quality concerns Taping, labeling, adjusting, and palletizing cases Supporting facility cleaning and recycling efforts Packing product using a variety of production equipment Performing other related duties as assigned What We're Looking For (Desired Attributes) Genuine excitement about the Big Spoon Roasters brand, values, and mission Previous food production experience (bonus points for FDA-inspected facilities) Ability to listen, learn, and follow verbal and written instructions A deep love for great food Strong attention to detail, reliability, and punctuality Integrity, kindness, and respect for teammates A positive, can-do attitude in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Open to giving and receiving constructive feedback—we believe growth is a team effort A collaborative team player who happily jumps in to support others when priorities shift Comfortable working in a facility that processes peanuts and tree nuts, with a strong commitment to following strict allergen and food safety guidelines—because keeping people safe always comes first Exceptionally clean personal hygiene Reliable transportation Comfort standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs throughout an 8-hour shift Perks That Set Us Apart (Full-Time Benefits) Hourly wage starting at $18 Medical, dental, and vision insurance after a successful 90-day review Monthly Wellness benefit Community Supported Agriculture (local produce) benefit Matching pre-tax funds for retirement account One annual Paid Volunteer Day One free 13oz jar of Big Spoon Roasters nut butter, or six of our handcrafted nut butter bars, every week (Yep!)
