Temp to Hire Job Description Join Kelly Services as a Production Operator and play a vital role in feeding, grading, inspecting, and packing products at an efficient production speed in an active manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform duties safely and follow all safety guidelines. Inspect products coming to the machine for defects and proper paint coverage; ensure proper sign-off on the quality control sheet. Grade material off the back of the machine to meet customer specifications. Separate out unsuitable material that does not meet grade. Demonstrate the ability to pack products to customer requirements (stack sticks, banding, proper counts, skids, etc.). Keep accurate daily paperwork and learn to read/process orders using the display monitor. Tie up finished units to be pulled and ensure proper tagging. Complete putty repairs and repair/re-install weatherstrip as needed. Feed the front end of the moulder and keep counts on quantities rejected at the feed end. Rotate into all positions on the moulder: feed end, grading, and stacking. Mark all units clearly and fill out unit tags accurately. Communicate counts and task completions in a timely manner. Assist in all preventative maintenance. Keep your work area clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards; use slow or downtime effectively to minimize end-of-shift cleanup. Assist in other areas as needed. Required Qualifications & Skills Meet all personal performance requirements. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Able to read a tape measure. Self-motivated with strong hand-eye coordination. Preferably one year of experience in a manufacturing setting. Able to stand for up to 10 hours, climb and descend stairs/ladders as needed, and do repetitive movements (hand, wrist, arm). Able to walk, bend, twist, stoop, and lift approximately 35 lbs. Capable of working in environments with temperatures exceeding 95°F, and be exposed to wood dust and aluminum (with no disagreeable hazards). Adaptable and willing to assist in other areas as required.
