Job DescriptionThe Production Associate 3 employee at Cornerstone Building Brands Aperture Solutions is responsible for various windows & doors assembly operations while ensuring we Safely make a Quality product and minimize waste/ cost, so it can be delivered on time to customers. Also, responsible for working with a sense of urgency while maintaining the flow of material throughout the plant by performing the following duties:

Job DescriptionThe Production Associate 3 employee at Cornerstone Building Brands Aperture Solutions is responsible for various windows & doors assembly operations while ensuring we Safely make a Quality product and minimize waste/ cost, so it can be delivered on time to customers. Also, responsible for working with a sense of urgency while maintaining the flow of material throughout the plant by performing the following duties:
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Operate hand tools as required and assemble, lift, pick and pack products
- Support and participate in Employee Engagement activities.
- Follow defined clean-up times.
- Work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies.
- Must follow and work to an established rate as defined by customer demand and standardized operations
- Participate in defining and improving standard work to improve quality windows for Customers
- Identify problems; communicate issues.
- Assist with training co-workers.
- Support a respectful workplace.
- Perform other duties across the plant as needed as directed by supervision or managementQualifications
- Ability to read at least minimum word and number recognition/Visual Cues
- Operate power tools with dexterity, basic operations, and knowing when to change PPE
- Identify hazards while understanding station knowledge of safety hazards/protocols/PPE
- Variations - having knowledge of measurement standards and tolerances
- Follow instruction and Standard Work while frequently referencing Standard work instructions
- Knowledge of product defects specifically to their workstation
- Quality Recognition In station quality requirements/CTQ
- Communicate Effectively by actively Listening, Explain Clearly & Accurately, Ask Questions, Share Important Info.
- Time Management and aware of Cycle Times
- Ability to perform math by adding numbers, subtracting, including fractions and decimals
- Interface with a computer system by accessing, navigating, identifying download
- Stand for 8 to 10 hours using good Posture and repetitive motion
- Problem Solving using Root Cause Analysis
- Dependability being on time consistently
- Profile Recognition ability to recognize shapes and compare to sample drawing
- Monitor Inventory by adhering to min-max levels (WIP)Utilization of Scrap
- Record keeping being Accurate, Timely, Legible/Scrap
- Ability to Train Operators
- Ability to oversee multiple workstation
- Ability to interprets and Understand Schedule Adherence
- Manage Line Flow
- Ability to lead
- Ability to wear required PPE - metatarsal shoes, arm guards, ear protection, and safety glasses
- Dependability/punctuality & Detail Oriented.
- High school diploma is preferred.
- Ability to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach and stand is required
- Ability to consistently lift at least 50 pounds, 8 to 12 hours a day is required
- Ability to work in hot & cold environment is required
- Be able to work extended hours and weekend based on business needs is required
- Willing & able to work various positions in various departments (cross-trained) is required
- Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and stand for long periods is required
- Able to comply with all company policies and procedures, including all safety regulations is required
- Ability to follow Supervisors instructions/directions as given is required
- Possess the following skills: problem solving, teamwork, communication and initiative.
- Preferred knowledge of WTS Paradigm and various ERP functionality
