Today, we serve more than 1,500 golf facilities, including many of the game's most recognized private clubs, resorts, and daily fee facilities. Our Woodworks division produces custom wood products for golf shops, events, tournaments, awards, displays, and premium gifting programs. These products require clean craftsmanship, accurate machining, careful material handling, consistent finishing, and strong attention to detail. Position Overview Evolve Golf is seeking a skilled Woodworks Custom Production Specialist to join our Customworks production team. This is a hands-on role focused on CNC machining, cutting, sanding, assembling, finishing, and inspecting custom wood products. Our Woodworks team uses CNC woodworking equipment, common woodworking tools, fixtures, templates, and finishing processes to make small-batch custom wood goods. The right candidate does not need to be a master woodworker, but must have CNC experience, be comfortable working with wood, following production instructions, reading measurements, and producing clean, consistent work. This position is best suited for someone with experience in CNC woodworking, cabinetmaking, sign making, furniture production, millwork, custom fabrication, trade school woodworking, or similar hands-on wood production work. This is not a general labor position. We are looking for candidates with CNC experience, woodworking ability, attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the discipline to produce quality work consistently. What You'll Do Operate CNC woodworking equipment using approved files, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions Load, secure, machine, and unload wood and related production materials Assist with CNC setup, tool changes, material hold-down, and basic machine checks Cut, shape, sand, assemble, and finish custom wood products Use common woodworking tools, including table saws, miter saws, routers, sanders, clamps, jigs, and measuring tools Read and execute work orders accurately and efficiently Follow production instructions, order details, and quality standards Measure and verify dimensions throughout the production process Inspect machining quality, alignment, fit, finish, material quality, and completed pieces Sand, stain, seal, and finish products to a clean, professional standard Prepare completed orders for packing and shipment Keep accurate production records and completed work orders organized Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area at all times Prepare materials, components, tooling, and fixtures for upcoming jobs to minimize downtime Communicate equipment issues, material concerns, production questions, or quality concerns appropriately Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED CNC router or CNC woodworking equipment experience required Hands-on woodworking experience required Comfortable using woodworking tools and measuring equipment Ability to read measurements, cutting lists, basic drawings, work orders, and production instructions Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to follow detailed processes with accuracy and consistency Ability to work in a production environment while maintaining craftsmanship Comfortable performing repetitive hands-on production work Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting ability Ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs. with assistance Ability to stand for long periods Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Preferred Qualifications Experience with CNC woodworking, cabinetmaking, sign making, millwork, furniture production, or custom fabrication Experience with VCarve, Aspire, Fusion 360, EnRoute, or similar CAD/CAM software is a plus Experience with CNC setup, tool changes, feeds and speeds, fixtures, spoilboards, and material hold-down is a strong plus Experience sanding, staining, sealing, finishing, assembling, or packing custom wood products Familiarity with production schedules, work orders, and quality checks Comfort working with tools, jigs, fixtures, templates, clamps, and production setups Portfolio or photos of woodworking, CNC, finishing, or related craft work strongly preferred Strongly Encouraged to Apply Applicants with experience in CNC woodworking, cabinet shops, sign shops, millwork, furniture production, custom fabrication, or trade school woodworking Applicants with hands-on hobbies or trade experience such as woodworking, CNC routing, furniture making, cabinetry, fabrication, finishing, model making, or small goods production Performance Expectations Produce clean, consistent wood products that meet Evolve Golf quality standards Operate CNC equipment safely, accurately, and efficiently Meet daily production targets with consistent attention to detail Minimize downtime through preparation, organization, and efficient setup Maintain a clean and orderly workstation Support team productivity by preparing for the next job before the current job is complete Communicate clearly when materials, work orders, machine setup, or production details need clarification Contribute to a dependable, accountable production culture Why This Role Stands Out Hands-on work making real custom wood products Opportunity to use and grow CNC woodworking and custom production skills Small team environment where strong craftsmanship is noticed Work that combines production discipline with visible, finished products Clear path for growth into higher-skill Woodworks and Customworks responsibilities Competitive hourly pay, strong employer-paid benefits, and performance-based bonus opportunity Schedule Monday to Friday 8-hour shifts Overtime available as production needs require
